Psychics on stage.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, we are really excited to announce a brand new 2 day course specifically designed for platform mediums around the world.
For many years now I have worked alongside the psychic community, from training people in the art of past life regression, life between lives and angelic answers to performing hypnotic phenomena live on stage with them at various events. Unfortunately I must say that a good 90% of them are not very good when it comes to stage presence or delivery.
I’m constantly asked by people how I can be so relaxed on stage, Well being on stage nearly every week in one form of entertainment or another for the last 20 years has helped lol, but the truth of the matter is, it’s having an true understanding of the stage, its environment and how it works, I mean are you aware that there is a right and a wrong way of walking onto a stage? That there are proper names for the different areas on a stage or that there is something called microphone technique?
Why is it that some people are popular as performers and some are not? Why is it that some people are booked to work week in, week out and others are scratching around looking for work. Well put simply it’s my understanding that the ones that are working on a regular basis and are getting repeat bookings are the ones that have studied their craft and look professional when up on stage. They are comfortable in that environment and know how to use the space correctly.
I’ve been lucky enough in my career to have worked and performed all over the world for the last 20 years, and have worked with a lot of the finest performers, and have quizzed them over different things to gain knowledge. And now I’m imparting that knowledge to you in a series of two day courses at various locations around the UK.
So here are a few of the things we are going to cover on the course.
- Walking onto and off the stage correctly
- Mic technique
- Engaging your audience in the first 5 seconds
- Understating the stage and its environment
- Taking to sound and lighting techs
- How to set up your own PA system correctly, if needed
- Health and safety on and off stage
- Using the full space to entertain
- How to get rid of dead air (not a good thing on stage)
- Use of the dramatic pause
