How the curriculum is organized
Classical hypnosis training was built around classroom clock hours. The curriculum below keeps that structure but strips the seats-and-parking costs: every stage is designed for honest self-paced study, with practice drills you can run on willing friends or on yourself.
Stage 1 — Foundations (the old Hypnosis 101)
The historical 101 course covered forty clock hours: inducing a hypnotic trance, deepening it, and delivering effective direct suggestions. In this stage you learn what actually matters from those hours — the induction family (progressive relaxation, eye fixation, confusion), the deepening tools (counting, staircase, elevator), and how suggestion language is built: positive, present, believable, and personal.
Practical drills: the hand-drop suggestibility test, progressive relaxation induction, and writing your first ten suggestions that pass the four-rule test.
Stage 2 — Therapeutic applications (the old Hypnosis 201)
The 201 level moved into applied work: ideomotor signaling, desensitization approaches, and structuring sessions around a single client goal. You will learn how to run a full session from intake to emergence, how to write suggestions that survive contact with real people, and where hypnosis fits — and does not — next to medical care.
Stage 3 — Specialty directions (the old Hypnosis 301)
The advanced level covered specialty territories: habit control, sleep confidence, performance focus, and regression work. This stage also covers ethics and scope: what a responsible practitioner never touches without clinical referral.
What you graduate able to do
By the end of the curriculum you can reliably induce and deepen trance in yourself and others, write and deliver suggestion sets for common goals, run a complete session with a structure, and explain — honestly — what hypnosis can and cannot do. That is the real qualification behind the certificate.
Enrollment
All three stages are available now as self-paced programs in the Academy shop — the audio sessions are produced in-house. Stage 1 maps to Hypnosis 101: Foundations, and the Clinical Hypnotherapy Home-Study Certificate covers the complete curriculum end to end.
